Naz Islam, a local Ashford family man with 4 children. Naz moved into Spelthorne in 1996 soon after leaving college.
As a life long conservative, Naz joined the party at the age of 17 and has been actively involved ever since. His passion for active involvement led Naz to stand for conservatives in May 2015, resulting in becoming the borough councillor for Ashford Town ward. Naz also won the election to represents the Ashford division of Surrey county council on 4th May 2017 with a huge majority.
Naz is seeking to gain good economic development of Ashford, where Ashford thrives through proportional development and believes in fighting for quality and affordable housing for our younger generation.
As a family man Naz cares with passion for local community issues such as expansion of schools to support places for future generations, believes in further GP surgery to support the loss of Thames doc, is anti green belt development, and support transport issues such as Oyster card, zone 6, oppose bus service cuts, along with creation of local job opportunities for next generation.
Naz is always ready for challenge, and caring for the uk’s future. Always takes time to listen and discuss both local and national issues.
Naz was re-elected as Conservative Councillor for the Ashford Common ward in the May 2023 local election.
