Mike has been involved in Conservative politics since the age of 16. On moving to Shepperton, he became actively involved in the Spelthorne Conservative Association in 2014 initially as Deputy Chair, Political. He was subsequently elected as Chairman and since then has been actively involved in the 2015 Spelthorne Borough Council and General Elections; the 2017 Surrey County Council and General Elections; and the 2019 General Election. In 2020, Mike was re-elected as Chairman.
Outside of politics, Mike was recognised by 'CEO Today' magazine as one of Europe’s top CEOs in 2019. In addition, Mike was announced as one of Europe's top CEO's by ‘Global 100‘ in September 2020. Also in 2020, Mike was also asked to join The Future Economy Surrey Commission chaired by former UK Chancellor, Philip Hammond.
